We found a very unique learning page regarding Los Posados. Your learner will watch a brief video then interact with a worksheet and it is graded upon completion. Barron got 10/10. From the video we learnt that Los Posados is an seasonal event from December 16-24 in Mexico. It is a festival that discusses Joseph and Mary's journey to Bethlehem. Each of these evenings a child dresses like an angel and everyone follows the angel in a procession. Other children are dressed in silver and gold robes and follow the angel dressed child while they carry lite candles and a picture of Joseph and Mary riding a donkey asking people for places to stay. Adults also participate in this festival by playing music and reading scriptures at each house the angel and children stop at. At the close of the evening there is a mass and the children open up a piƱata full of candies and treats.

A local church, we believe it is called St. John's church, has a lovely nativity display that captured Barron's curiosity or memory from a scene of one of our favourite movies Home Alone:
We made a homemade pinata and Bear opened it and won the prizes!
Te deseo lo mejor -Wishing you good luck and prosperity.
