Explore Exciting Ancient Egypt - Inventions (1 Week Self-Paced Class)
In this one week self-paced class, we are going to explore some of the inventions of ancient Egypt. We will discuss what some of them were, why they were built, and how humans have adapted ancient inventions to the tools we use today.
Class Experience
In this one week flex class, students will explore a wide variety of the history and culture of Ancient Egypt while considering multiple perspectives. During our adventure together, your learner will explore some astounding inventions of Ancient Egypt, such as in the fields of mathematics, medicine, tools and more.
Students will enjoy learning using a variety of methods, including videos, slide presentations, drawing, brainstorming, and arts and crafts. They will be encouraged to engage in the class by asking questions and sharing their thoughts from their unique perspective in the online classroom discussion board (since this is a flex class).
To ensure a comprehensive understanding of the subject, we will also explore multiple viewpoints and interpretations of historical events. We will play a review game at the end to remind ourselves of what we learned. Please have the worksheets downloaded in advance of the class. These will help your learner to take good notes and consider different perspectives
Often times it is difficult to get into a habit so now we have begun our school journey.
Barron and I have decided we will enjoy one poet a day so we chose Keats and listened to a few poems read f rom Youtube. We find similarities from Bruno Mars and Keats progression of women.
Today Barron did his daily sketch. We will use this webpage as our resource: https://howtodrawforkids.com/ The resources are lovely, easy to follow, and free.
Barron practiced his keyboard piano for 10 minutes today and did his daily spelling of 12 words.
