In his research, Rudolf Steiner realized that establishing healthy rhythms in the home supports children in their development and growth. Steiner also came to understand that different colors evoke different feelings in humans; this is why, in Waldorf preschools and schools, a “color of the day” is oftentimes implemented. As a general rule of thumb, this is the breakdown of the week:

  • Monday: Purple

  • Tuesday: Red

  • Wednesday: Yellow

  • Thursday: Orange

  • Friday: Green

  • Saturday: Blue

  • Sunday: White
