Stonehenge Discussion

Welcome to our exploration of Stonehenge. From the generosity of Blossom and Roots free Book Seeds on the topic of Sun Bread, find yours at: blossomandroot.gumroad.com/l/zPweQ

We recreated the stonehenge with some wafer cookies and icing. Bear did a spectacular job creating with accuracy the internal aspects as well as external stones. Bear and I discussed possibilities of what this may have been. We think maybe a tribute to gods, a theatre, a giant playground, a way to guide boats, a place banished people were placed, a place of marriage or gifts to the gods, a place to play sports, music or sing, maybe a giant story book with secrets revealed when torches were held to it, a place to lay down and gaze up at the stars, a way to figure out shadows to predict harvesting, a giant sun dial, perhaps the beginnings of a modern city, a garden, perhaps a place to obtain water or a place to exchange trade, food, and tools (a meeting place), maybe a place to store ships and cargo crates, perhaps a fisherman's market since it was close to the sea, maybe it was a school, a great way to make snowmen, or perhaps a time travel portal. Maybe our thoughts are wrong and it simply was a luxurious home made of seaweed doors that displayed over the years such as these: thevintagenews.com/2019/03/28/seaweed-homes/?andro=1&chrome=1&A1c=1 (source for the photo as well)

Interesting we came across a book entitled The Sky Atlas by Edward Brooke-Hitching which mentions the first image of Stonehenge drawn at Stonehenge in 1573 by the Flemish painter Lucas de Heere.
