Summer Reading Challenge

What an adventure this should be. Superhero Bear and I have found the most delightful summer pack and it's currently free. If you want to include this in your child's summer then travel to: https://www.geezgwen.com/product/summer-reading-challenge-packet/ and donate your name and email address and in return you will find the most charming 12 page booklet. These following screenshots are from the pack and it's where we will begin July 1, 2022. Enjoy your evening sky.

Update: Barron completed the read a biography challenge The Story of Fred Rogers by Susan B. Katz. Susan's books are listed on her adorable one of a kind website:
susankatzbooks.com/the-story-of-fred-rogers/
He also searched through a cookbook, thus completing another challenge, that was generously provided for free by:  littlepaganacorns.com/sabbat-cookbook/

His favourite recipe is homemade butter as displayed in the screen shot.

Barron completed the Read a Book with a number in the title by reading sample pages from four books by Jenna Lettice called The 12 Days of Preschool, The 12 Days of First Grade, The 12 Days of Thanksgiving, and The 12 Days of Halloween. There were samples offered by Amazon Kindle for four days from each book so that totalled more than one entire book read. Thank you for these samples and these great books; should you like to unravel more about this kind author Jenna Lettice and her series please share some time at: penguinrandomhouse.com/authors/2140701/jenna-lettice
We used to have some books from this series, as they are true treasures, however due to our living condition we had to depart from them for just a little while.

Barron completed two more outstanding challenges. He read The Berenstain Bear's Jobs Around Town by Mike, Jan, and Stan Berenstain. He also read a whodunit by Kimberly and James Dean entitled Pete the Cat and the Missing Cupcakes.

Another accomplishment occurred with the reading of the sample Goodnight Toronto by Adam Gamble and Mark Jasper.

Barron beautifully read a book for the summer reading challenge called "Along the Tapajos" by Fernando Vilela translated by Daniel Hahn. This takes place in Brazil/Continent of South America.

For the challenge of time travelling we read the sample book called Mungo the Time Travelling Mouse: Christopher Columbus and for the #1Best Seller we read a sample of Arnold Lobel's book Frog and Toad are friends.

The final challenge was to read about something that occurred in Ancient history and Barron read Ancient Egypt a Geography and Cultural Fact and Picture Book for Children by Bold Kids.
I created a reading rewards sheet in case I was unable to print out the certificate that comes with the challenge: Great Work BearBear!
